Sydney is a born and bred Northern California girl with an unyielding love for the outdoors and being active. While graduating from California State Monterey Bay with a degree in Global Studies, Sydney remained very involved with two of her passions, dance and theatre. She took advantage of incredible performing opportunities during her time in California, and those acting experiences inspired her to attend a two-year program at Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York. Post Circle highlights have been dancing at Carnegie Hall, a summer tour of Shakespeare in the woods, and performing on Circle in the Square’s Broadway stage.
Sydney has always loved being outdoors, attending Mountain School at an early age, wading creeks, roaming beaches, and hiking redwoods. She is grateful to have been raised in a loving, athletic, and outdoorsy family, and thanks her father for imparting a zeal for all things active, especially hiking, skiing, and fitness. This appreciation naturally translated to an enthusiasm for exploring different methods of fitness, including Pilates.
Sydney spent a year studying the head, neck, and spine relationship through Alexander Technique, and received her Pilates Mat certification from LindaFit Pilates. She finds incredible freedom of expression and personal strength through physical fitness, and obtains great joy in spreading the positive outcomes of being active to others by way of Pilates instruction. Combining challenging programing with upbeat playlists, clients will leave Sydney’s classes feeling stronger, empowered, and ready to take on this crazy city!
