Tamara, an Australian in NYC, found Pilates at a young age. Movement has always been a huge part of her life and she loves to share it will her clients! Having danced from the age of 3, Mat Pilates came not too long after to support the demands of dance on the body. Tamara then found Reformer Pilates while working in Finance in Sydney. Every lunch she’d run out the door to her 12pm Pilates class, regardless of work demands and stresses. It became a huge stress relief and a daily routine for 2 years. From there, Tamara completed her Pilates Certification with Elixr School of Pilates in Australia where she completely fell in love with the Reformer and started teaching.
In a change of career, Tamara moved to NYC to dance and pursue Pilates full-time, and now she lives for it. In Tamara’s class, you can expect an intense workout with a focus on form and understanding of anatomy. In NYC Tamara found a lot of exercise options that look good, but do quite little for your body and functionality. Tamara is passionate about moving and teaching with purpose. In class, Tamara will do her best to leave you with an increased understanding of how your body works and a fierce, functional workout. Come to class expecting to challenge and love your body!
